My name is Hee Choi, and I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD working with Dr. Shi Joyce Sim.
I am a geodynamicist interested in early Earth, working at the intersection of numerical modeling, thermodynamics, and machine learning. I couple geodynamic models with phase-equilibrium modeling, and I also develop deep learning methods for numerical simulations.

- Can make a great cup of coffee
- Is a very dedicated (read: helicopter) dog mom to my puppy, Hodu
- Finds peace outdoors, whether camping in the woods or spending quiet time at the beach
- Has taken up running as my new way to clear my head (Ask me about my latest 5K PR!)
